Coffee ShopEast Village

You might mistake the super narrow, railroad apartment-like Café Chrystie for a boutique. Pep Kim, a filmmaker and pro photographer, combined Chrystie NYC, his skate clothing label, with a coffee bar in 2023 to create a space that extends his creative inner universe. In addition to selling books, records, ceramics, and Brooklyn-roasted Variety beans, it doubles as a venue for photo exhibitions and artist events. Recently, they expanded into an intimate cocktail bar next door that takes over each evening.
Grab a quality drip or yuja ade, browse the shelves, swing over to the Losaida galleries, then come back after 5 pm when the lights dim and the neighboring bar opens.
