Red Gate, founded in 2020 by Greg Rales and named after a family property on Nantucket, occupies a tiny below-street-level space. But it packs more temptation than bakeries three times its size.
The cookies are legendary. Brown butter chocolate chip, white chocolate grapefruit, house-made Oreo creations. So chewy and addictive you’ll start calculating how many more you can reasonably carry home before you’ve finished the first bite. This place asks you to leave all your rules at the door, and treat yourself to pure, unadulterated pleasure.
