Walk in With Us
Dreamers feels exactly like its name, and is miles from the rush of nearby East Broadway. Exposed brick, hanging plants, and sunlight pouring through the front windows give it the warmth of someone's living room.
The founders, Sandy Truong and Daniel Lam (now run by just Sandy), met while working at a neighborhood adult day care center and built it for the community.
Young creatives work on laptops, Chinatown regulars stop in for coffee, lavender honey matcha, or, in the summer, a fruity spritz, and gallery visitors drift through between nearby shows. Evenings often bring craft clubs, workshops, and community events. Don't be surprised if one hour turns into three.
